Skip the agency. If you are willing to take on what follows.

Today people pay for a website that works: fast, usable by everyone, legally sound, maintained. The design is the smaller part. With a checked design and an AI assistant you build the site yourself. Nobody takes the running of it off your hands.

What you save

No ongoing subscription, if you take on hosting and operation yourself.

A funnel is a handful of pages with questions, a result and a form. You do not need a platform that bills you every month for that, as long as you host the pages and handle the form entries yourself.

What you need instead is knowledge: how a funnel has to be structured, which legal pages belong to it, what matters for accessibility and load time. An AI assistant only tells you that when you ask the right way and it has context. A Kiekkist design is that context: checked pages, a DESIGN.md that explains the structure, and legal page templates.

Roughly, over three years

Funnel builder, entry plan
€47 a month net on annual billing, about €1,700 net over three years Perspective, pricing page
Kiekkist design plus web hosting
€59 once, plus hosting from €4.95 a month, about €240 over three years all-inkl.com, plan overview

A builder includes more than pages: an editor, lead management, often email automation and hosting. If you need all of that and do not want to run it yourself, it is a good place to be. Cheap website builders cost about as much over three years as a design plus hosting.

What you take on

This stays with you, even with the best design.

Domain and hosting
Register a domain, choose hosting, upload the site or deploy it with Git.
Forms
Where enquiries go, how long you keep them, who reads them.
Updates and security
Static sites need little, WordPress needs regular updates. Patchstack reports 11,334 new vulnerabilities in the WordPress ecosystem in 2025, 91 % of them in plugins (vendor data).
Backups
A copy you can actually restore when it matters.
Keeping legal pages current
You fill in the legal notice and privacy policy and update them when you add services. The templates are not legal advice.
Accessibility of your content
The design is checked against WCAG 2.2 AA before it is sold. Alt text, documents and form copy come from you. Whether accessibility law applies to you depends on whether you sell to consumers online.

Is this for you?

An honest self-check

  1. You have had an AI assistant write and run code before and know how to look at the result.
  2. You know what a domain, a DNS record and a hosting plan are, or are happy to learn it in an afternoon.
  3. You plan fixed time, a few hours a quarter, for updates, backups and checking the legal pages.
  4. You can live with an error you have to track down yourself, without a support line.

Three yeses or more: start with a free design and build the home page with your AI assistant.

Fewer: buy the design anyway if you like it, and give it to an agency or a web designer. The licence allows that, and your project starts from a checked state instead of a blank page. Heidrich Digital, the agency behind Kiekkist, can also take on setup and operation: Setup and operation

Questions

Can I adapt a design to my client’s brand?

Yes, that is what it is built for. Colours, fonts, spacing and corner radii live in one token set you change in one place. Images, copy, addresses and prices you swap directly. Sections can be reordered, dropped or repeated; the DESIGN.md in the package describes the variations the design allows and where its limits are. You export to Astro, static HTML or WordPress.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay once and the design is yours: perpetual licence, 12 months of updates included. Nothing renews, nothing is charged later. Design purchases from the last 30 days count in full towards All-Access.

Do I still need a monthly funnel or site builder?

Not for building. A funnel is a handful of static pages and a form; it does not need a platform that bills you every month. What you need is the right structure (questions, result, booking or contact, legal pages) and someone who builds it cleanly: your AI assistant with the design as context, you, or your agency. Hosting, receiving form entries and maintenance remain. What that involves is on Without an agency.

Can I do without an agency?

If you work confidently with AI tools and want to look after domain, hosting, updates, backups and current legal pages yourself: often, yes. If not, hand the design to an agency or a web designer; the licence allows that. There is a short self-check on Without an agency.

What about privacy?

The designs make no third-party requests: no fonts from a CDN, no trackers, no cookies. Anything you add later (maps, videos, tools) is your responsibility, and the checker shows it to you.
